Documentation your electricians will thank you for
Accurate drawings are the difference between a 20-minute fault-find and a 4-hour one. Mobile Automation produces professional CAD documentation for industrial projects — both electrical and mechanical — covering schematics, panel layouts, 3D models, fabrication drawings and as-built documentation, using AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
What we produce
- Electrical schematics — wiring diagrams, circuit designs and cable schedules for machines, lines and plant infrastructure
- Mechanical drawings — 3D models, general arrangement, fabrication and assembly drawings for guarding, frames, conveyors and custom equipment, modelled and validated in SolidWorks before fabrication
- Control panel design — component layout, thermal and segregation considerations, enclosure selection, optimised cable runs; drawings our own cabinet workshop then builds from
- As-built documentation — surveying and redrawing legacy plant so your documentation finally matches reality
- Compliance documentation — drawings aligned to AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439 requirements
Drawn by people who build and maintain what they draw
Our drafters sit beside the engineers who program the systems and the electricians who wire them — so the drawings reflect how equipment is actually built and maintained, from terminal numbering that makes sense to layouts a technician can follow under breakdown conditions. From a simple VSD enclosure to complete production-line documentation packages.
Frequently asked questions
Our plant drawings are decades out of date — where do we start?
With the equipment that hurts most when it fails. We survey and redraw critical machines first, building to a complete as-built package over time — you get value from the first drawing, not the last.
Do you only draw what Mobile Automation builds?
No — we produce documentation for any equipment, including machines other contractors installed. Many clients use us purely for CAD and as-built work.
What formats do we receive?
Native AutoCAD Electrical/SolidWorks Electrical files plus PDF sets, structured so your own team or any contractor can maintain them. You own your drawings.
