Emergency Breakdown Support

Emergency industrial electrical breakdown support.

Urgent electrical fault-finding and breakdown support for approved industrial customers where downtime, safety or production disruption needs practical attention.

Mobile Automation can assist approved industrial customers with urgent electrical breakdown support, fault finding and practical rectification planning across Melbourne, South East Melbourne, the eastern suburbs and broader Victoria.

Industrial breakdowns can stop production, create safety risks, delay deliveries and put pressure on maintenance and operations teams. When a site is down or operating in a reduced state, the priority is to identify the issue, make the area safe, understand the options and restore operation where practical.

Emergency breakdown support is available by arrangement and depends on availability, site location, access requirements, safety conditions and the nature of the fault.

Important: Emergency response is subject to availability, site requirements, location, safety conditions and agreed customer arrangements. For life-threatening emergencies, fire, electric shock or immediate danger, call emergency services first.

Emergency breakdown support Mobile Automation can provide

Mobile Automation can assist with urgent industrial electrical issues where practical support is required to identify faults, isolate issues and plan the next step.

  • Urgent industrial electrical breakdown attendance by arrangement
  • Production equipment fault finding and electrical investigation
  • Switchboard, control cabinet and power supply issue support
  • Motor, sensor, contactor, relay and field device fault checks
  • Variable speed drive and motor control fault support
  • Control circuit checks and electrical diagnosis
  • Temporary restoration support where safe and suitable
  • Coordination with operations, maintenance and site contacts
  • Follow-up rectification planning after urgent attendance
  • Shutdown-window support by prior arrangement

Focused on safe, practical next steps

Not every breakdown can be permanently repaired during the first attendance. Some faults require parts, OEM support, drawings, shutdown access, specialist programming, engineering input or further investigation.

Mobile Automation’s role is to help the customer understand what is happening electrically, what can be made safe, what can be restored, what needs to be monitored and what follow-up works may be required.

Suitable for

This service is suited to industrial customers that need urgent electrical support for production, machinery or site infrastructure issues, including:

  • Manufacturing and production facilities
  • Food and beverage production sites
  • Process and packaging environments
  • Machinery suppliers and OEM-supported equipment
  • Warehouses and industrial premises
  • Recycling, quarrying and heavy industrial sites
  • Maintenance teams needing additional urgent electrical support
  • Sites experiencing electrical faults, machinery stoppages or recurring production issues

What to include in an urgent enquiry

The more information provided upfront, the easier it is to assess whether Mobile Automation can assist and what the next practical step should be.

  • Site location and access requirements
  • Whether production is stopped, reduced or still operating
  • Equipment, machine, switchboard or area affected
  • Fault codes, alarms, symptoms or recent changes if known
  • Photos of the equipment, cabinet, screen or affected area where safe to provide
  • Whether there is any immediate safety risk, burning smell, heat, damage, tripping or exposed wiring
  • Site induction, permit, isolation or escort requirements
  • Preferred timing and site contact details

What happens when you call

Plenty of contractors say they offer breakdown support. What matters is what actually happens when you make the call, so here it is.

  1. You call (03) 9761 8500.
  2. We establish whether it is safe. Before anything else — whether anyone is at risk, whether the plant is isolated, and whether it should stay isolated until we arrive. If the answer is that nobody should touch it, we will say that on the phone.
  3. We work out what has actually stopped. Often this is diagnosable over the phone with your maintenance person standing at the panel, which sometimes ends the call there.
  4. The job is prioritised on production impact and safety — a stopped line on night shift ranks above a fault that can wait for day shift. Customers on a maintenance agreement receive priority support.
  5. Someone attends, or the fix is walked through — depending on what the fault is, how far away the site is and what is safe to do without an electrician present.

What to have ready when you call

This is the difference between a diagnosis and a site visit:

  • What stopped, and what was running immediately before it stopped
  • Any fault code, alarm text or indicator on the HMI or drive
  • Whether anything has been reset, isolated or bypassed already
  • Whether the plant is safe and isolated right now
  • Site access — gate, keys, who is on site, induction requirements

If you can photograph the fault screen or the panel and send it through, that usually saves a trip.

Availability

Electrical breakdown support is available for approved customers across metropolitan Melbourne, with regional Victoria by arrangement.

Attendance times depend on technician availability, distance to site, work already scheduled, safety requirements and the information provided when you call. We do not publish a fixed attendance time, because a number we could not hold on a bad day would be worth nothing to you. Customers on a maintenance agreement receive priority support.
