A food manufacturer fitted out a new facility at Pakenham. Mobile Automation delivered the electrical infrastructure — distribution, machine supplies and process controls — to the construction program.
The challenge
A new facility needed complete electrical infrastructure across multiple process areas, machine and pump supplies, and drive controls, all delivered and commissioned as the plant was being built and brought online.
Our approach
Mobile Automation installed the distribution and supplies across the site and commissioned the process equipment, tuning drives to the real operating conditions of each pump and conveyor.
Scope of works
- Distribution boards across the process areas — air-compressor room, sugar (DB-07), packing (DB-09), warehouse main switchboard and DB-13 — including breaker upgrades
- Machine supplies dropped to control cabinets via unistrut and jack-chain (including the pallet wrapper); conveyors wired with VSD parameters set and directions verified
- Pump installations with variable speed drives, including frequency tuning to manage current draw (trimming an overloaded single-phase pump's output to bring it within its 10 A supply) and a portable pump and VSD
- Optical-fibre and data cabling with tested terminations and documentation, switchboard labelling and schedules, and conduit sealing

- Conveyors and pumps commissioned with verified drive configuration
- Documented data cabling and switchboard schedules handed over
- Complete electrical fit-out delivered alongside the build
