Taurean Door Systems, part of steel building products group Stramit, consolidated its Victorian operations into a new 7,000m² factory at Knoxfield. Every production machine had to come out of Bayswater North and be running at Knoxfield, with the gap between the last panel made and the first panel made as short as possible.
Ten months of planning, then a four-week window
Planning ran alongside Stramit's project team long before anything was unbolted.

Machine data was captured and proven before a single machine came off its footings.

Everything the building needed, not just the machines
The new factory needed its services installed as well as its plant reinstated.
- All site power run through the new Knoxfield building
- Single- and double-phase outputs provided to suit the plant
- Fibre optics run across the site and the administration areas powered
- Everything that plugged in, ran on power or talked to a PLC moved by one contractor
The results
- Victorian operations consolidated into one 7,000m² factory at Knoxfield
- Panel production restarted inside the planned four-week window
- Gap between the last panel made at Bayswater North and the first at Knoxfield kept short
- No start-up surprises, every machine checked against its pre-move backup
