About the role
We welcome graduate engineers from a range of disciplines — electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, controls and automation. As a graduate at Mobile Automation you'll work alongside experienced engineers on live industrial projects, rotating across our electrical, automation, robotics and mechanical teams to build genuine breadth before you specialise. It's hands-on, well-supported, and a long way from making coffee.
What you'll do
- Support the design and delivery of electrical, control and mechanical systems under senior engineers
- Assist with CAD design, PLC and SCADA development, and commissioning on site and in our workshops
- Gain real site experience across manufacturing, food, process and heavy industry
- Learn to apply Australian Standards, safety requirements and sound engineering practice
- Contribute to automation and robotics projects as part of a multidisciplinary team
What you'll bring
Essential
- A completed or near-complete engineering degree — electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, controls or a related discipline
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a genuine interest in industrial systems
- A willingness to learn, get on the tools where needed, and work in a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Full Australian working rights and a valid driver's licence
Highly regarded
- Vacation work, internships or project experience in an industrial environment
- Exposure to CAD, PLCs, automation or robotics through study or work
