How to Play
What you need to know about Tipping
Tips for each game can be entered or edited at any time prior to the nominated round commencement time as published on the site.
Under no circumstances will tips be accepted after a round has commenced.
If tippers do not enter tips for a game, or round they will be allocated the away teams by default.
If tippers join after the season has commenced they will be awarded equal to the lowest score of the competition
How Tipper Are Ranked
Weekly rakings will be determined by the tippers weekly score for the round, then by a tippers 'Last Precision' and then by their 'Precision'.
Competition ranking will be determined by total score, and then by their 'Precision'. In the event of a draw at the end of the competition, a finals tipping competition will be conducted. In the event that multiply tippers are still drawn the prize money will be split between the drawn entrants. I.e. if 5 entrants finish on equal first than first ,second and third prize will be summed and divided by each entrant ($1000 + $500 + 250 ) / 5 = $350 each.
What you need to know about Margins
Each round it is required to enter a winning team plus a margin for one game (the number of points team A will beat team B by).
Last Precision
If you tip the winning team and their exact winning margin for the round, your 'Last Precision' will equal 0 points (lower is better).
If you pick the winning team, but not the winning margin for the round, your 'Last Precision' will equal the difference between the actual game margin and the margin you tipped.
If you tip the losing team, your 'Last Precision' will equal the points difference of the actual game margin PLUS the margin you tipped.
Precision
The 'Precision' is the sum of the 'Last Precision' to date for all rounds in the tipping competition. As with 'Last Precision' the lower your 'Precision' is the better ranking you will have.
